"  Sounds of Grace"
Mark tells us that immediately after Jesus’ baptism he was driven of the Spirit into the
wilderness and there he spent 40 lonely days living without food among wild beasts.
There also Satan came to tempt Him.   Though Jesus appears in these scriptures weak
and hungry and afflicted, yet if you look deeper you will see as great a picture of His
power and glory as with any of His miracles.  This passage has much to teach us about
who Jesus is and why he is worthy to be our Savior.   We can also look at his example
and find guidance and encouragement in the temptations that we face.

Scripture Reading: Matthew 4:1-11; Luke 4:1-14; Deuteronomy 8:1-3; Deuteronomy
