"  Sounds of Grace"
How popular would Jesus be if He came and began to preach to men today?  Surely we
would see a massive revival shake the world if the Savior came in person and
proclaimed the words of life and worked many wonderful miracles.     Yet in the
scriptures we see Jesus rejected and mocked far more often than He was received.
Here in our text He is in His hometown of Nazareth with those that knew Him best,
preaching and teaching and doing wonderful works and yet they did not believe.    They
did not see the Son of God; they saw a carpenter’s son.   Consider in this lesson, what
it means to commit the sin of unbelief.   Jesus has not come in person but He is
proclaimed in the Bible and preached in our church.  What is your response to Him?

Scriptures: Matthew 13:54-58; Luke 4:16-30; II Timothy 3:16-17; Luke 16:19-31;
John 6:24-71; John 3:14-21; Romans 1:18-19; Matthew 11:20-30; II Corinthians 6:1-2

6)     Why was Jesus amazed at their unbelief?

7)     Why was it more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah than for a town that rejected
the gospel?

today?
